Are you relying on pain killers every month?

Women have been led to believe that the pain and discomfort associated with menstruation is normal.

Treating the discomfort with painkillers and birth control pills only masks the symptoms, therefore,
women experience painful menstrual cycles every month.

Wouldn't it be great to experience pain free menstruation?

Treat underlying causes and become
pain free.

Many women suffer from PMS and other symptoms such as painful menstruation cramps, headaches, backaches, heavy or light bleeding and irregular menstrual cycles.

Would you be surprised to know that menstruation should be painless and symptoms should be minimal?

Let's tall about what menstruation is:
Menstruation is the shedding of the uterine lining that was not used for the implantation of a fertilized egg, in other words, pregnancy.  In order to prepare for the possibility of implantation, another cycle of building the fresh uterine lining starts.

In Oriental Medicine, we look for the underlying cause of the symptoms and the best treatment for individuals.

My personal Story
I myself experienced severe menstrual cramps starting in my early twenties. The pain was debilitating, resulting in many sick days from work and difficulties with managing daily activities.  My gynecologist was unable to find a diagnosis and I, like most women, resorted to taking painkillers to mask the pain.

After trying to become pregnant for many years unsuccessfully, I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis in my thirties.

Today, I am blessed with two beautiful children after having suffered for years with PMS and infertility issues. In retrospect, the pain and disappointment could have been avoided if I sought treatment that dealt with the underlying issues earlier, rather than masking the pain.

Treat the symptoms and reduce the possibility of further gynecological issues.

Because of my own experience and knowledge of acupuncture, I came to believe that early treatment of irregular menstruation symptoms could prevent further problematic gynecological issues e.g. endometriosis, fibroid, PCOS, etc.

These, in the long run, can lead to infertility issues.
